Am I the only one smelling that? It’s pungent too. Does it not seem odd the way one can find fame on this site without so much as an ounce of imagination? This is how it goes down all too often: Someone watches a popular TV show or movie and sees a scene they find to be especially well written. At this point the first thing they do is create a captioned GIF of the exact words from the scene. They then post said GIF on Tumblr and all the followers that they for whatever reason have acquired get all giddy to see that someone else likes the same pop culture items as them (Typically Harry Potter, Glee, or some nostalgia-inducing 90s cartoon) despite the fact that they are actually one of millions. What then goes down is the followers, being the docile little sheep that they are, reblog this post and their followers reblog it is as well. What we are then left with is thousands upon thousands of Tumblr users who have all just achieved some variety of fame and not one of them has had the need to dust off that old imagination that had been sitting around somewhere in their attic behind the Christmas decorations and disregarded photo albums.
Reblogging for irony.
